Stefon Diggs is Being Cryptic on Instagram Again and Appears to Have Deleted Vikings Posts
By Brendan Balsamo
With a few short weeks to go before NFL free agency opens, and the trade floodgates burst, it's time once again to peruse the only direct line we all have to the athletes we follow -- their well-manicured social media accounts.
Sweeping changes always mean something. Athletes care about their image too much to take drastic swings without basis.
The latest set of moves on social media by Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs is most interesting, as the wide receiver appears to have removed all Vikings and football-related posts from his Instagram page.
Diggs has had some confusing activity lately on social media. Not only has he changed his profile pictures on all of his accounts to a maniacal-looking Patrick Star from Spongebob Squarepants, but on Feb. 9, he tweeted out "People don't appreciate things until they're gone..."
This is far from the first time Diggs has rattled the cages in recent months, fueling Patriots trade rumors mid-season, and barely pouring water on them when spoken to.
However, there's no reason for Diggs to be out of house and home. He's under contract until 2023, and he's coming off another stellar season for the Vikes. He's a fan favorite, and the Minnesota brass deciding to move him would be a huge mistake, no matter the haul they bring back.
Any team would be foolish to remove a player like Diggs from their roster. However, Diggs' latest social media move has to make you wonder.
