Stefon Diggs Returns to Vikings Practice Amid Hamstring Concerns
By Sean Facey
The status of one of the Minnesota Vikings' top wide receivers has been up in the air all week as the Vikings prepare for their season opening clash with the Falcons.
But amid all of the concerns about Stefon Diggs' hamstring and whether or not he'll be healthy for Sunday, the star wideout returned to practice after sitting out on Wednesday, signaling that he's making progress.
It's certainly a great break for the Vikings' offense. Diggs has been a premier talent for them, amassing 3,494 receiving yards and 24 touchdowns in 55 games since he was drafted by Minnesota in the fifth round in 2015 out of Maryland.
2018 marked the first year that he eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark, and all signs point to him being able to do it again. The only question is whether or not he can stay healthy for the year. This hamstring issue certainly hasn't done much to raise confidence in that, though his return to practice is encouraging.
He's yet to play all 16 games in a single NFL season throughout his four years in the league. All eyes are on him to take the next step in 2019.
He's out there practicing again, and that's pretty much all that can be asked of him. Kirk Cousins will feel a lot better heading into Week 1 if he has both Adam Thielen and Diggs lining up offensively.
