Steph Curry Finally Breaks Silence on Kevin Durant's Warriors Departure
By Parker White

Stephen Curry was expected to meet with Kevin Durant in New York about his free agency decision after coming back to the States from Shanghai, but he never got the chance. By the time his flight landed, KD had already cast his lot with the Brooklyn Nets.

I'm sure that ruffled some feathers, and you can imagine that the Golden State Warriors and Curry himself weren't thrilled when the news first broke. However, while at a celebrity golf event at Lake Tahoe, Steph talked about Durant's departure and seemed to have made peace with it.
.@StephenCurry30, at Tahoe celebrity golf event, on Kevin Durant's departure: "The three years we had were special. We had three straight Finals appearances and won two of them. We accomplished a lot as a group." (more) #Warriors

Obviously, Curry would've loved for KD to stay in Golden State despite his Achilles injury, but he's right to reflect on the guy's three years there with such positivity. They went to three consecutive NBA Finals and won two of them, with Durant taking Finals MVP honors in both victorious years. That's special, and Curry has decided to look at the positives and cherish those moments rather than beat himself up over what might have been.
More from Curry: "Everyone talks about all the talent we had on that team, but that doesn’t mean you can put it all together. ... I like to look at what we accomplished and focus on that, and be extremely proud of that run. Now we try to re-create that." #Warriors

The most talented team doesn't always win in the world of sports, but the Curry-Durant Warriors managed to dominate the NBA landscape. That's worth something, and "The Hamptons 5" will always be remembered as a result.
