Stephen A. Smith is known first and foremost for his flaming-hot takes on television and radio, but today, he was perfectly on the nose when discussing the awful offseason Texans head coach and de facto GM Bill O'Brien has had. From claiming to know the best way to resolve the Astros cheating scandal, to saying the Lakers should trade LeBron James, Smith has become known for his radical takes, but his time, he couldn't have been less controversial. All he wants is to see BOB relieved of his front office duties.

Smith joined a chorus of NFL fans -- not just the Texans faithful -- in calling for Bill O'Brien to lose his GM privileges,, going so far as to declare that "This is not a hard thing for me to say." And if you've watched what the Texans have done over the last month, it's only natural to agree.

Bill O'Brien has been on the front office hot seat ever since March 16th, when he traded superstar wide reciever DeAndre Hopkins to the Arizona Cardinals for struggling running back David Johnson and a second-round draft pick.

The seemingly universal consensus is that O'Brien has made one of the worst trades possible in today's NFL, as he sent a 27-year-old three-time All-Pro away for a haul that doesn't even equal what the Vikings got for Stefon Diggs.

Reports have suggested that this deal was due to off-the-field disagreements between Hopkins and O'Brien, which Stephen A. Smith noted. But if Hopkins wanted a new and gaudy contract, O'Brien still cannot be let off the hook. With this in mind, it's perhaps never been easier to agree with Stephen A., a truly uncommon feat in these strange times.
