Stephen Strasburg Calls Out 'Fake' Proof of Him Leaving President Trump Hanging in White House Visit
By Michael Luciano
Washington Nationals starter and 2019 World Series MVP Stephen Strasburg found himself at the center of a major controversy during the team's visit to the White House, as a video surfaced that showed he blew President Donald Trump's attempt at a handshake off. However, the man himself has come to end that debate over if he did or did not shake his hand, calling the whole thing "fake news".
Strasburg, who just opted out of the remainder of his contract and will test the free agent waters, was exonerated by some photo evidence that shows him and Trump shaking hands.
Rather than go full Kurt Suzuki and controversially rocking MAGA gear in a very passionate speech, Strasburg looks like the kind of guy that has no interest in being a political symbol. To wash his hands of the whole affair, he cleared up this narrative as soon as possible to squash any controversy before it happens.
