VIDEO: Stephen Strasburg Totally Left President Trump Hanging After Speaking to Crowd at White House
By Thomas Carannante
We saw Kurt Suzuki living it up at the White House earlier on Monday during the Washington Nationals' World Series celebration, but it seems as if one of his teammates is singing a different tune. The MVP of the Fall Classic, Stephen Strasburg, addressed the crowd in DC and received a round of applause when he finished. President Donald Trump was one of those cheering on, but when the Commander-in-Chief went in for the handshake, it appears Strasburg shunned him, merely delivering a head nod.
Quite the opposite of a long, drawn out, uncomfortable Trump handshake, right?
Strasburg isn't exactly the most engaging and outgoing type, but right after he dodged Trump's handshake, he emotionally embraced manager Dave Martinez.
Somewhere, Sean Doolittle is very proud.
