Stephon Gilmore Invites Girl Who is Bullied for Playing Football to Patriots Game
By Karl Rasmussen
Stephon Gilmore is a real class act. The Patriots cornerback is proving his dominance as one of the league's best on the field, and off the field he's looking out for his biggest fans.
After seeing a video of a young girl from Massachusetts who was being bullied for trying to play football and being a huge fan of the game, Gilmore asked Twitter to help him track her down.
Gilmore was urging Twitter to help find the young girl, Quinn, in order to invite her to come watch a Patriots game as his guest. The girl was being bullied at school for her love of football, and when she took the field for her team she would wear Gilmore's No. 24, inspiring him to extend the offer.
Hopefully this plan comes to fruition and Gilmore can meet the young Pats fan and encourage her to keep playing the game she loves. Perhaps this will also get some of the bullies off her back at school, knowing she has a New England Patriot in her corner.
The Patriots take on the Jets on Monday night, so we'll see if Gilmore is able to get this organized by then. If not, there's plenty more opportunities for the young fan to have the day of her life at Foxboro.
