Steve Kerr Gives Encouraging Update on Draymond Green’s Elbow Injury
The Golden State Warriors seem to have dodged a bullet.
Draymond Green slammed his elbow on the hardwood during the Warriors clash with the Grizzlies, and was forced from the floor for a few minutes of the game. Fortunately, he returned later in the quarter with a sleeve on.
After the game, Steve Kerr provided an update on Green, and it looks like he won't be joining the handful of other Warriors stars dealing with injuries.
This comes as a sigh of relief for NBA fans, as the Warriors have experienced maybe the fastest fall from the top of any franchise in recent memory.
The Warriors went from yearly NBA Finals favorites to the bottom of the Western Conference after the majority of their core went down with injuries.
Klay Thompson is out for the year and Steph Curry will miss most, if not all, of the season. Meanwhile D'Angelo Russell is out for at least two weeks and Green only just came back from his own ailments.
The Warriors have been terrible on defense both with and without him on the court, but the former Defensive Player of the Year automatically makes the Warriors better, and can be a leader for the less experienced guys currently playing a lot of minutes.
