Surprising Stat Should Delight Seahawks Fans Ahead of TNF vs Rams

Week 5's edition of Thursday Night Football features a mouth-watering matchup of two 3-1 teams as the Los Angeles Rams travel north to square off against the Seattle Seahawks in an NFC West showdown.
On paper, the Rams might have the more talented roster, but what Pete Carroll and Co. have working in their favor is the NFL's best primetime record across the last 10 seasons.
During that span, the Seahawks have compiled a mind-boggling 25-5-1 mark in such games, which includes an amazing 17-2 tally at home.
In regards to tonight: Seahawks are 25-5-1 in primetime games over the last 10 seasons under Pete Carroll, which is the best record in the NFL and includes a 17-2 record at home (2nd in NFL behind only the Ravens at 10-1).

And that sound you hear is literally every individual across the country that bet on the Rams breaking the sound barrier in sheer rage.

The numbers, in hindsight, make perfect sense when you think about it. Seattle boasts one of the most distinct home-field advantages in the league. Couple that with Carroll's coaching prowess, Russell Wilson's do-it-all quarterback play, and an elite defense, and you have a recipe for winning football under the lights.

If those stats don't rally the 12th man at CenturyLink Field tonight, then nothing will. Their team does, however, face a tough test on Thursday, as Los Angeles is surely motivated to avenge their shocking home defeat to the Buccaneers in Week 4.
