Tampa Mayor Says Tom Brady Was Asked to Leave Closed Park While He Was Trying to Work Out
By Jerry Trotta

Political officials across the nation are taking the coronavirus crisis as serious as humanly possible and will stop at nothing to mitigate the spread of the pandemic. Parks in Tampa are closed for the time being, but that didn't prevent one resident from attempting an outdoor workout at one undisclosed location.
The lawbreaker, for lack of a better term, was none other than Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady. Per reports, mayor Jane Castor revealed that a roving police offer asked the 42-year-old superstar to leave the closed park.

The man turned out to be Tom Brady ?

We don't doubt that Brady went out of his way to take precautions before starting his workout, but this shouldn't be a laughing matter, as Bleacher Report's tweet indicates. What matters here is the fact that the new Tampa resident violated a fundamental request of public health officials. Doesn't...he...have space on his current property to be working out?
Castor shouldn't have had to ask him to leave the park. Kudos to Tampa for not making an exception for its newest star. If regular residents would be instructed to vacate the premises, then so should a six-time Super Bowl champion.

It was @TomBrady ? https://t.co/kdU2YNcyQ5
Again, why is this funny?
"Tampa's newest high-profile resident is having to follow the rules like everyone else amid the pandemic."
Uh, you think? Stop creating double standards. Taking the current state of the country into consideration, that's hardly an impossible request.
