Tanner Roark Found Out He Was Being Traded to A's While at Arby's
By James.r

The Cincinnati Reds concluded their eventful 24 hours mere minutes before Wednesday's MLB trade deadline, as they dealt veteran right-handed pitcher Tanner Roark to the Oakland Athletics. Roark knew he was on the block, having been linked to a handful of teams, but he found out about the deal in a rather peculiar location.
The 32-year-old caught wind of the news that he was headed to Oakland while he was at an Arby's preparing to travel with the team to Atlanta.
Tanner Roark said he found out about the trade at an Arby’s because he was going to drive to Atlanta if he remained with the team. Drove back to stadium afterward. #Reds https://t.co/T5YvYK8SvK

Not exactly the most common place to discover you're being traded across the country. But who knows, maybe it was a place of comfort for the pitcher.

Roark will take his 6-7 record and 4.24 ERA to his third team in as many seasons. While it can't be fun to move all over the country so frequently, the pitcher should be excited to join a playoff contender, as the A's currently hold the second Wild Card spot by a half-game over the Tampa Bay Rays.
