Skubal saw limited action and showed off his ability to throw absolute smoke. Having this type of velocity as a left-handed pitcher shows why he is ranked as the No. 46 overall prospect by MLB Pipeline.

Got a called third strike on a filthy curve and another on a good slider. 1-2-3 inning (yeah, these are college hitters).
Skubal rose as high as Double-A last season where he posted a 2.13 ERA in nine starts. He also had an insane mark of 82 strikeouts in 42.1 innings of work.
The Tigers are expected to be bad once again in 2020 as the rebuilding process continues. That bodes well for Skubal, who should see some major league action as long as the organization doesn't keep him in the minors to hold that extra year of service time.
