3 Teams That Should Trade for Jackie Bradley Jr. and Finally End Boston Tenure
By Mark Powell
The Red Sox have been attempting to trade Jackie Bradley, Jr. in some way, shape, or from since 2017. This offseason, they may have reached a breaking point with Chaim Bloom now at the helm. While the Winter Meetings may be over, the JBJ talks are just beginning. These teams should take a swing:
3. Arizona Diamondbacks
After non-tendering Steven Souza, Jr., the Diamondbacks have a hole in their outfield. JBJ has been listed among potential destinations for Bradley, Jr. in the past, as D'Backs GM Mike Hazen spent some time in the Red Sox front office. It's a natural fit, and one Arizona should explore.
2. Texas Rangers
The Rangers just dealt Nomar Mazara and are in need of outfield depth. Bradley, Jr. is a natural replacement, and would be an exciting fielder patrolling the new Globe Life Park grass. Texas needs to make a splash, and while this would be a minor one, it's a good place to start for a starved fanbase.
1. Chicago Cubs
With the Cubs unlikely to re-sign Nicholas Castellanos and not exactly motivated to increase payroll, a move for Bradley, Jr. would be a cost-effective move for a club preaching their so-called change in culture.
