VIDEO: Tee Higgins Flagged for Ridiculous Personal Foul After Block on Patrick Queen Before Clemson Opening TD
By Jerry Trotta

It was truly on a matter of time until the referees became the prominent talking point of Monday night's national championship bout between LSU and Clemson. The game lacked fireworks through the first couple of drives but that all changed on Trevor Lawrence's deep completion to tight end Braden Galloway. It was a tremendous play by the Tigers but it was tarnished by a farcical personal foul call on Tee Higgins for lighting up Patrick Queen with a block.

That's about as clean of a block as you will EVER see on a football field, folks, and the flag indefensibly came in almost immediately.
Let the kids play!
Clemson, however, would get their revenge. After a few more completions and a big run by Travis Etienne, Lawrence finished things off with a TD scamper to open the scoring.
Trevor Lawrence takes it himself. Clemson leads LSU 7-0. ?
