Vols Fans Making Effort to Try and Recruit Former 5-Star Georgia Signee Zach Evans During Visit

College football fans will get to know Zach Evans during the 2020 season. The only unknown is where he will play.
Evans is a 5-star running back recruit out of Houston and had inked a letter of intent to play at Georgia during the Early Signing Period. He was released from that commitment, though, and is now continuing the recruitment process. Tennessee is hosting Evans for an official visit this weekend and students made sure to let him know he is wanted there.

It remains unknown what caused Georgia to let the 5-star recruit out of his letter of intent. Yet, that doesn't appear to be stopping other schools from going after him hard.
Evans was originally supposed to announce his decision at the Under Armour All-America Game. His announcement never came, though it was later revealed he had signed with UGA, only for things to fall through.

He has also been linked to Texas A&M, Ole Miss, LSU, Alabama and could end up going to Georgia after all if both sides can repair the relationship.
Evans is the No. 1 running back recruit in the country for the 2020 class. That is what Tennessee fans care most about right now, especially after the team failed to reach 10 wins for the 12th straight season.
Evans would give the team a generational-type running back and could potentially help get the program to a championship level. We'll see how the rest of his visit goes. Vols fans will surely hope it results in the standout prospect picking Tennessee.
