Terrell Suggs Plans on Reporting to Chiefs Despite Previous Ravens Interest

Terrell Suggs let it leak out that he would only accept an assignment to the Baltimore Ravens once he hit waivers. That was a bit tricky as the team was last in the waiver order.
Then the news dropped that the Chiefs were awarded Suggs, and he seems to have changed his mind.
Per source, Terrell Suggs is currently planning to report to the Chiefs. He’s a competitor and he wants to get another Super Bowl ring. The Chiefs are clearly in the mix for that.

Talk about a quick change of heart! Playing with Patrick Mahomes and for Andy Reid will do that.
This is a smart move by Suggs. He is essentially going to Kansas City to be a veteran presence on defense in the postseason. He is not going to play in meaningless regular season games at the end of his career.
Suggs recorded 5.5 sacks with the Arizona Cardinals this season before being released to pursue other opportunities.
Four teams put in waiver claims for former Cardinals’ LB Terrell Suggs, per source.

Chiefs has worst record of group and rewarded him.
The veteran would have been kicking himself if he refused to report to the Chiefs and the team went on to win the Super Bowl, and given KC is arguably the hottest squad in football right now, we like their chances.
