Terry Francona Will be Part of Alex Cora's All-Star Game Staff in Cleveland
By Jared Kish
Cleveland Indians manager Terry Francona will once again share a dugout with Red Sox skipper Alex Cora for the All-Star Game.
After winning the World Series last year, the Red Sox manager is set to coach the American League side and he will be bringing along a good friend and former Sox manager to help out.
The current Red Sox leader played under Francona from 2005 to 2008 while Tito was at the helm in Boston. Cora's ideology on his approach to managing can be attributed to Francona. Both managers are known for putting trust into their players and being lighthearted.
With the All-Star Game being held in Cleveland this year, Francona will be in his home ballpark and seems to be excited about joining forces with Cora.
The two are no strangers to being in big games together under the lights. Both Francona and Cora were apart of the 2007 championship Sox team and both have managed in the Fall Classic.
The Indians skipper is honored by the invite and I believe he was a first choice for Cora given the history between the two. It will be a nice reunion for the former and current Red Sox managers.
