Texans CB Bradley Roby Not Expected to Play Against Colts on Thursday Night Football
By Sam Dunn
The Houston Texans are headed to enemy territory to take on the division rival Colts to open up Week 12 in the NFL on Thursday Night Football. But per a late-breaking report, they're expected to do it without the help of defensive back Bradley Roby.
Insider James Palmer says Roby isn't likely to play thanks to a hamstring injury.
This is a rough development for the former Ohio State Buckeye, who hasn't played since October 13th, as well as for the Texans as a whole, who are nursing an uncomfortably large slew of injuries across their secondary. Safeties Justin Reid and Mike Adams were already declared out due to concussion protocol, while and cornerback Lonnie Johnson Jr. is out with an ankle injury.
Safety Tashaun Gipson is considered questionable. Notably, so was Roby.
The Colts don't have the luxury of Andrew Luck anymore, but they've been a punchy group with Jacoby Brissett running the show. At 6-4, a win against Houston would propel them to first place in the AFC South. Expect them to test this depleted defensive backfield and feed TY Hilton early and often.
