When J.J. Watt is on the field for the Houston Texans, there is a palpable change in the team's energy. The value the three-time Defensive Player of the Year brings to the table for the organization (beyond his Pro Bowl production) is intangible.

Ever since Watt suffered what was thought to be a season-ending pectoral injury, the Texans defense has managed to stay afloat, but it's obvious they're missing a presence on the defensive line.

But there's good news, Texans fans. Watt is reportedly expected to return for the postseason assuming Houston makes it (and they'd really have to screw up not to).

With 96 career sacks already under his belt, despite missing countless games over the past few seasons, Watt is a true game-changer when he's on the field. With the team having traded away former No. 1 overall pick Jadeveon Clowney before the season, Houston's pass rush was essentially anchored by Watt alone (until his injury).

With potential matchups against quarterbacks like Patrick Mahomes, Tom Brady, and Lamar Jackson looming in postseason play, Watt's potential return could not be coming at a better time.

While nothing is certain yet, we are all well aware that J.J. Watt is a warrior at heart, and he will do everything he can to return to the field for his team.
