Texans might hire Lovie Smith as new head coach

Who in the world saw this coming? In a wild turn of events, it looks like the Houston Texans might have a new favorite for head coach, and it's a name no one saw coming this late in the game: Lovie Smith.

While Brian Flores and Josh McCown had been emerging candidates, a new report has stated that Smith could be in the driver's seat to be given the job.

Texans are now in talks with their associate head coach and defensive coordinator Lovie Smith about potentially becoming their next head coach, sources tell me and @fieldyates.

This would be something. A quick look at social media shows that fans are not too happy with Houston, as people were hoping Flores would be hired. We'll see if they end up going with Smith.
