Texans Players Continue to Blast Bill O'Brien and it's Going to Kill Team's Ability to Recruit Stars
By Jerry Trotta

We really hate to kick a guy when he's down, but Houston Texans GM and head coach Bill O'Brien simply deserves all of the criticism coming his way -- assuming all of it has to do with football, of course.
The O'Brien carousel has reached its boiling point in the fallout of him inexplicably trading superstar wideout DeAndre Hopkins to the Arizona Cardinals for pennies on the dollar. That was followed with Michael Irvin dropping some head-spinning news of Hopkins claiming that O'Brien compared a meeting with him to one he had with convicted murder Aaron Hernandez (though Hopkins may or may not have denied that).
Well, all that hoopla prompted former Texans wideout Jaelen Strong to eviscerate O'Brien on Twitter, claiming that the now-GM ruined his career and didn't base playing time on merit.
This is who Bill O Brien is. Y’all thought it was my fault I wasn’t seeing the field. The man simply didn’t like me because I was a product of my environment. PERFORMANCE means nothing. He wasted my first 3 years ultimately ruining my NFL career. I never knew how to kiss ass ??♂️ https://t.co/CzLaB3pxPq

The sky is, in fact, falling in Houston, but Strong wasn't finished.
It’s something deeper w this organization.... they care about something else more than they do winning. Just don’t know what https://t.co/KJBCYBjpI0

Somehow, this narrative didn't end with Strong going scorched earth.
NFL reporter Benjamin Allbright claims that a free agent defensive back was told by former Texans players to keep his distance from the organization because of the way O'Brien runs the show.
Potential DB target for Texans told me he told team no thanks, moving on to other offers after being warned away by former Texans defensive players, about the HC.

This is going to get a lot worse before it gets better, isn't it? In truth, the only way it gets "better" is if the Texans swallow their pride and part ways with O'Brien. Unfortunately for fans in H-Town, history has taught us that that's a pipe dream.
