Texans' Official Press Release Confirming DeAndre Hopkins Trade Was Devastatingly Brief

The NFL world is still gnashing its teeth and facepalming in the direction of Bill O'Brien after the Houston Texans offloaded all-world wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins to the Arizona Cardinals for a stupefyingly modest trade haul.
Naturally, the franchise's public relations department waited until this sleepy sports weekend to confirm the move on an official basis... and their release that did so is notable much less for what it included and far more for what it didn't.
Hmm. Simple as that, huh? Some guy named David Johnson in, some guy named DeAndre Hopkins out? Terrific. Let's go have a snack and call mom.
Yes, the thank-yous to the venerable Nuk will be many in the weeks and months to come. But so far, things are eerily quiet on the Houston front. Given how O'Brien's move was pretty much universally panned in NFL circles, it tracks.
