Texans Reportedly Shopping Jadeveon Clowney to 10 NFL Teams
By Michael Luciano

After weeks of bickering, grievance filing, and just about everything except trying to negotiate a contract, the Houston Texans might finally ship Jadeveon Clowney out of town.
The Texans franchise tagged their three-time Pro Bowl pass rusher, but have not come any closer with regards to a long-term deal. Houston has been in contact with at least 10 different NFL teams, and the Miami Dolphins have emerged as one of the more active suitors in trade talks for Clowney.
As I've reported, Dolphins talked to Houston about Clowney. Jay Glazer reports Houston has talked to 10 teams, including Dolphins.

Clowney, who was selected No. 1 overall in the 2014 draft out of South Carolina, has more than lived up to billing lining up opposite JJ Watt, making the Pro Bowl in three straight seasons while becoming a Second-Team All-Pro selection in 2016. He recorded 47 tackles and nine sacks last year.
The Texans, who are currently operating without a GM, have tried to cut corners and save money at every step of the Clowney negotiation. While they have a rough cap situation, that's no excuse for souring their relationship with a talent of his level as quickly as they did.
NFLPA is anticipated to file a grievance against Texans over the position assigned to franchise DE/LB Jadeveon Clowney, per league sources. The Texans labeled Clowney a “DE/LB”, but a LB tag carries a $1.698 million lower salary with it than the DE tag would. So issues on issues.

Clowney could help the Texans win the AFC South and perhaps advance even further in the playoffs, but it appears the higher-ups are more focused on being thrifty.
