Texans Star JJ Watt Coming off Injured Reserve and Expected to Be Ready for Playoffs
By Thomas Carannante
Over the weekend, fans learned of JJ Watt's potential return to the Houston Texans after multiple reports dropped suggesting he'd be ready to go for the postseason.
On Saturday, the Texans clinched the AFC South. On Tuesday, Watt was designated to return off the injured reserve list and is expected to take the field for the playoffs. Get pumped, Houston.
This will be a much-needed boost for a struggling Texans defense that hasn't look much like itself without Watt aside from its dominant performance against the New England Patriots.
Watt suffered a torn pectoral muscle back in late October and actually let the world know he'd be out for the rest of the season, but it appears as if his recovery has gone swimmingly, leading to his return at the perfect time.
The three-time Defensive Player of the Year will rejoin a Texans defense and help the unit improve both stopping the run and getting to the quarterback, which is something the team will need to do if they want a chance against the Patriots, Chiefs or Ravens.
