Texas A&M Poach LSU RBs Coach Tommie Robinson
By Jerry Trotta
It was always expected that LSU's coaching staff would undergo an overhaul this offseason after the team's national championship. However, we're not so sure that THIS many changes were forecasted.
Ed Orgeron was dealt another blow on Monday when it was reported that Tigers running backs coach Tommie Robinson agreed to a deal with SEC rival, Texas A&M, to take the same position alongside Jimbo Fisher.
Reports have been surfacing within the last month which suggested that Robinson was on his way out of Baton Rouge, so this news shouldn't really come as a surprise to fans in Death Valley.
The 56-year-old Robinson had served as LSU's RBs coach since 2017 and his three-year contract, which paid him over $500,000 annually, was set to expire at the end of March.
Orgeron will be forced to find another replacement to his personnel, and given the inevitability behind Robinson's departure, we're expecting that appointment to be made official within the next 24 hours.
