Sam Ehlinger Surpasses 10,000 Career Yards in Friday Showdown With Texas Tech
By Andy Loughmiller

2019 has not been the year that the Texas Longhorns were hoping for. However, their quarterback did manage to reach a career milestone Friday against Texas Tech that should make UT fans proud.
Stalwart QB Sam Ehlinger has surpassed the 10,000-yard mark in terms of total offense in just three seasons. Only Longhorn legend Colt McCoy has racked up more yardage than Ehlinger in school history.

The junior quarterback is capable of putting up video game-like stats whenever he steps on the field. His numerous games with huge numbers have added up, and he is now a part of the five figures club thanks to another stellar performance against the Red Raiders.

Ehlinger is a physical runner when he takes off. He won't run by anyone, but he isn't afraid to lower his shoulder and take on defenders. Additionally, he has also improved as a passer throughout his college football career, including a game over 300 yards against the Red Raiders to cap off the regular season.
