The Bengals Literally Benched Andy Dalton on His Birthday
By Parker White

It seemed like only a matter of time until Cincinnati Bengals veteran quarterback Andy Dalton was going to ride some pine. But, for this to happen today?
According to Tom Pelissero of NFL.com, the Bengals are making a quarterback change following their bye week. It'll be rookie Ryan Finley who will get the start this weekend.

Nobody should be shocked this is happening, as the Bengals are 0-8 and their season is over. Unfortunately, Dalton is being benched on the same day as his birthday. Yup, nothing says happy 32nd than receiving word from your coaches you're no longer the starter. Just brutal.
Andy Dalton, who threw for 329 yards and a touchdown without any turnovers against the Rams on Sunday, turns 32 years old today. Not the happiest of birthdays. If the Bengals are done with him, maybe they can do him a favor and trade him before today’s deadline.

The Bengals are a mess and Dalton has been part of the problem, as he owns a 60.4 percent completion percentage with 2,252 yards, nine touchdowns and eight interceptions over eight games.
The NFL can be a tough business, there's no doubt about that. For Dalton, he'll have to blow out the candles tonight as a back-up quarterback for the first time in a LONG time.
