The Biggest Trap Game on Ohio State's Schedule in 2020
By Emily Adams

The Ohio State Buckeyes completely dominated during the college football regular season last year, with an undefeated record and very few games that were even close. They look poised for another big run this year, especially considering their fairly weak schedule.
The Buckeyes always face some challenges in Penn State and Michigan in the Big Ten, but their non-conference opponents, with the exception of Oregon, are pretty pitiful. Buffalo and Bowling Green aren't much of a challenge to the reigning College Football Playoff Semifinalists.

However, we think the Buckeyes might be getting a little too cocky for their own good, and the Illinois Fighting Illini are just the team to knock them off their high horse. The positioning of the Illinois game game on the schedule sets up the underdog Illini just right to pull off the massive upset.
Illinois had a mediocre year last year with a below .500 record, but they are bringing back several key pieces including senior quarterback Brandon Peters, three senior wide receivers and a strong offensive line. If they can finally get things to click, they're going to be a really solid football team.

The OOC 2, Rutgers, & Indiana don’t worry me.
Oregon, Iowa, Penn St, & TTUN will be hyped plenty.#GoBucks ?️?
More importantly, the Buckeyes face the Illini the weekend before their biggest rival, Michigan, which is their final regular season game of the season. They are also on the road against Illinois and against Maryland the weekend before. If Ohio State focuses their energy on the massive rivalry game in Columbus, it might be enough for Illinois's offense to get the job done.
Is it likely? Definitely not. The Buckeyes have proven themselves time and time again to be an exceptional football program, but Michigan can rattle them like no one else. Is an Illini upset possible? Absolutely.
