The Chargers Would Actually Consider Moving to London Instead Of Going Back to San Diego

Philip Rivers and the Chargers might play in Los Angeles, but fans everywhere basically still think of them as the team from San Diego.

Despite the fact that they are about the seventh most popular team in Los Angeles, as the Rams, Raiders and 49ers dwarf them in popularity in L.A., the Chargers decided to ditch their well-supported digs in San Diego for the glitz, glamour, and cash of Hollywood. The team is now considering a full-time move across the pond to London, because the Spanos family has no idea what they are doing.

Ah, London, the only place on Earth with less Chargers fans than L.A. Boy, that conference realignment when they move to England is going to be fun, huh?

While the Chargers will move into the shiny new SoFi Stadium with the Rams next season, they currently play in Dignity Health Sports Park, home of the L.A. Galaxy. It's well below NFL requirements for capacity, and becomes overrun with visiting fans every single week, as every Chargers fan in the world stayed in San Diego.

The move to Los Angeles was fueled by nothing more than pure corporate greed by the Spanos family, and has left a talented Chargers team playing 16 road games a year in a soccer stadium. London is cool for an exhibition every now and again, but not a permanent team. Bite the bullet and move back to San Diego if you actually want to hear cheers at your home games, Chargers.
