The Jaguars Need to Trade Jalen Ramsey Already and Get it Over With
By Michael Luciano
Everyone knows that it's better to just rip off a band-aid than to slowly peel it away.
But the Jacksonville Jaguars are taking their sweet time peeling off cornerback Jalen Ramsey, who will be away from the team as he welcomes the birth of his second child amid a trade request.
A sick day. A back injury. A reiteration of the original trade request.
The Jaguars don't want him around, and Ramsey wants out of Jacksonville. So what's taking so long?
While there's value in waiting for a sucker to offer you an exorbitant return, is doing so worth the constant media barrage over Ramsey's availability or the man himself taking more shots at the coaching staff and organization?
The Jaguars have an All-Pro corner on a cheap rookie contract, but, intentionally or otherwise, they managed to sour the relationship by either hiring coaches he wasn't on board with, not making him feel valued by the organization, or building a team and culture that can't sustain winning.
Whatever the cause, Ramsey wants out, and keeping him lingering in the background does no one any good, especially the Jags.
