As another NBA season is upon us, it seems that for the first time in several years the championship is up for grabs. With Kevin Durant's departure from the Golden State Warriors many teams feel they have a shot at winning the NBA title. The Los Angeles Lakers will enter the 2019-2020 NBA season as 3-1 favorites accord Vegas. This should come as no surprise as the Lakers have acquired several talented players during offseason. The most notable acquisition was all-star forward Anthony Davis from the New Orleans Pelicans. Davis, who averaged 25.9 points, 12 rebounds, and 3.9 assists, is sure to make an immediate impact. The trio of Davis, Lebron James, and Kyle Kuzma will be one of the best in the NBA.

Although the Lakers now have two superstars, what makes this roster stand out is the depth. Key role players such as Danny Green, Quinn Cook, Javale McGee, Dwight Howard, and Jared Dudley bring the depth the Lakers have been looking for. Danny Green and Quinn Cook will provide the Lakers with the 3-point shooting that they have desperately needed. Javale McGee and Dwight Howard will split minutes at the center position, but both bring a defensive prowess that will be relied on. Although Jared Dudley may not light up the stat sheet, his veteran leadership and presence will help build chemistry.

If all pieces fall in line for the Lakers, it would be hard to imagine any team taking them down in a seven game series. The Lakers will start their quest for championship 17 on October 22 versus the Los Angeles Clippers.
