Sometimes life just doesn't feel fair. Case in point? The Patriots' schedule for the upcoming year.

The New England Patriots, fresh off of their franchise's sixth Super Bowl win since 2001, will have the easiest schedule in the NFL for the third year in a row.

New England's opponents have a combined projected win percentage of just .470 heading into 2019, 12 points lower than the next easiest schedule.

As if that wasn't enough to tell you how easy things will be for Belichick, Brady and Co., the Patriots are also favored to win 15 out of their 16 games. The lone game they aren't favored to win comes in Week 11 on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles. In that matchup, they're one-point underdogs.

For many, this reaffirms the fact that the Patriots continuously have one of the easiest paths to the Super Bowl year in and year out. Much of this, of course, has to do with their division, which continuously ranks as one of the worst in football featuring the Jets, Dolphins and Bills. Playing those dumpster fires twice a season contributes quite a bit to this ranking. There's only so much the NFL can do.

However, even their out-of-division games are against mediocre-at-best opponents. Teams like the Redskins, Bengals and Giants are all on the docket for New England this year.

The rest of the NFL better hope for some upsets. Otherwise, the Patriots might just cruise to their fourth straight Super Bowl.
