The Smartest Pick Ravens Made in 2020 NFL Draft
By Tyler Kemp

Led by 2019 NFL MVP Lamar Jackson, the Ravens splashed on the scene in the NFL with a league-best 14-2 record. While they suffered a Divisional round loss to the Titans last year, Jackson and Co. are looking to return with a vengeance in 2020.
While Baltimore was beyond solid on both sides of the ball, the next step in Jackson’s development is all about his growth as a passer. As a result, building up Jackson’s receiving corps was key in the 2020 NFL Draft. And in the third round, head coach John Harbaugh and the front office made the smartest decision of their draft weekend.

#12: Devin Duvernay scores his final career TD in burnt orange, fighting through a defensive pass interference in the Alamo Bowl against Utah. pic.twitter.com/M0ZHoyJ35W
Devin Duvernay out of Texas was a third-round selection for B’More. In his senior season, Duvernay accumulated 106 catches for 1,386 yards and nine touchdowns, good enough for a First-Team All-Big 12 selection. With Hollywood Brown and Willie Snead on the outside, Jackson needed another receiving threat that can work between the numbers. After taking a deep dive into the analytics, it becomes clear Duvernay did just that in college.
I’ll say it again.. Devin Duvernay was the most underrated prospect in the 2020 NFL Draft. Will be where Lamar is looking on 3rd Down. https://t.co/Z6m3NggRCg

While he can go up and make big time plays over the top, Duvernay is going to prove his value most working out of the slot. If LJ wants to take the next step, using Duvernay correctly in Baltimore’s offense will be the key in doing so.
