The Warriors' Ridiculous Luck Just Never Runs Out
By Max Scoli

The Golden State Warriors were able to defeat the Portland Trail Blazers in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals by a score of 114-111, putting the organization up two games in the series. The Dubs seem to be on their way to their fifth consecutive NBA Finals berth, but this time could it be because of luck rather than skill?
The Warriors are currently without Kevin Durant for their next four games at least. Durant has been the NBA Finals MVP on the last two championship teams, and his absence would be hard for any team to overcome, even an organization with as many stars as the Warriors.
Postgame revelation from Steve Kerr on Kevin Durant’s calf strain: “It’s a little more serious than we thought at the very beginning, so we’ll see where it goes.”

Yet, the basketball gods seem to always be on the Golden State's side. The Dubs were snagging every 50/50 ball, outrebounding the Blazers 50 to 37.
Anyone who is an avid fan of NBA basketball knows that the Warriors can get going at any moment, and Portland just couldn't score right when the Dubs got hot.

CJ McCollum went ice cold, leaving the Blazers helpless as they saw Golden State crawl back into the game to put Rip City in a two-game hole.
Portland knew what it had with CJ McCollum. He is a streak shooter. Sometimes he'll carry the whole team, sometimes he'll go ice cold. He picked a bad time for the latter.

The Warriors never fear defeat until the buzzer sounds because they know at any moment in those 48 minutes, their luck could turn around.
