There's No Way Daryl Morey's Sharing the Whole Story About Chris Paul Meeting
By Sean Facey

The relationship between Chris Paul and the Rockets is murky at best right now. There has been a roller coaster of rumors about whether or not he wants out of the organization, and the latest buzz may not make any of this any clearer.
Rockets general manager Daryl Morey met with CP3 prior to the NBA Awards in Los Angeles on Monday, but it's obvious that there's more to the story than he's letting on.

Morey said that it went "great," and that the meeting was "mostly free agent planning."
It would be foolish for both of them to waste their time discussing such trivial information.
A number of reports have indicated that there's tension between Paul and franchise star James Harden. Others have stated that he's requested a trade. For his part, Paul has maintained that he's content in Houston, but forgive us if we're simply not convinced.
All I can tell you is this: when I spoke to @CP3 yesterday. He categorically DENIES making a trade request. pic.twitter.com/iCPnpdFYw3

With all of the tension between the two parties, it seems highly unlikely that the primary focus of the meeting was "free agent planning." Whatever's going on behind the scenes, it's evident that Morey wants it to stay that way.
Who could blame him, though? The Rockets have been the talk of the NBA for all the wrong reasons of late. There's no reason to continue stirring the pot by airing out the contents of a crucial meeting with an allegedly disgruntled star.

“We spent a lot of time putting together two superstars. We’re trying to add a third, going backwards from that doesn’t make a lot of sense.” #Rocketspic.twitter.com/F3s0XC0rl6
He's keeping his cards close to the vest. For now. If there really is dissension in Houston's ranks, it won't stay bottled up forever.
