VIDEO: These 2 Insane Calls by Bill O'Brien Completely Spoiled Texans' Momentum vs Chiefs
By Thomas Carannante

The Houston Texans were leading the Kansas City Chiefs 24-0 with just under 11 minutes left in the second quarter, and SOMEHOW find themselves trailing at halftime. Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs came alive and scored three touchdowns in barely over three minutes of game time before adding a fourth right before the half. So what happened? Well, Texans head coach Bill O'Brien kind of botched everything with two very questionable calls, and this fake punt attempt stands out as the biggest culprit.
This is a helluva play by Daniel Sorensen to snuff out the fake punt.

Watch Sorensen before the snap: he was all over this — very focused. He's moving with Reid the whole way. pic.twitter.com/p86GnMJQGe
That came on 4th and 4 on their own 31-yard line right after the Chiefs scored, and when it failed, Mahomes and the offense were in business. While some might argue it was a gutsy call to further bury the KC, the puzzling nature surrounding it had to do with what happened on their previous drive.
Houston had a 4th and 1 deep in Chiefs territory and were moving the ball very well. After sending the offense out on the field to go for it, O'Brien decided against it after calling a timeout and opted for the field goal. If you're not going for it there, faking a punt and risking losing all the momentum is a pretty irresponsible decision.
I'm not a big Bill O'Brien fan. I hope he didn't send the wrong message to his team by playing it safe and taking the field goal on 4th and 1. Instead of playing to win, he played not to lose. And the Texans lost their attack mode in allowing a quick TD.

Even Skip knows, man. Come on.
