This Browns Starter Will Be First to Lose Starting Job in 2020

Kevin Stefanski is enacting a major facelift with the Cleveland Browns, and several holdovers from a disappointing 2019 team might get relegated to the bench in favor of one of Stefanski's handpicked replacements.

One player who could be on the verge of losing his starting job under the new regime is defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi, who has recorded 10.5 sacks over the last two seasons.

GM Andrew Berry did an excellent job of identifying positions of need and drafting players who can start immediately at those positions, as Jedrick Wills, Grant Delpit, and Jacob Phillips all look like instant starters.

Ogunjobi might be feeling some pressure from former Missouri defensive tackle Jordan Elliott, who earned rave reviews for his high motor and athletic ability at the line of scrimmage. Former Cincinnati Bengals nose tackle Andrew Billings will also fight for snaps with Ogunjobi, who failed to take the leap from good to great by essentially mirroring his 2018 production in 2019.

Elliott has the run-stuffing ability and pass rush potential to challenge both Ogunjobi and Sheldon Richardson for playing time. Unfortunately, given Richardson's contract, Ogunjobi might be the one most likely to go if, or when, Elliott starts to impress the coaching staff.
