This Dolphins-Jaguars Trade for Leonard Fournette Makes Sense
By Michael Luciano

The Jacksonville Jaguars have made it very clear they don't expect to be winners in 2020, and trading the likes of Calais Campbell and AJ Bouye has signified the speedy arrival of an impending rebuild.
The Jaguars might have another potential blockbuster in the works, as they are willing to part ways with former No. 4 overall pick and starting running back Leonard Fournette.
Jaguars have had trade discussions with other teams regarding RB Leonard Fournette, league sources tell ESPN. Fournette is due $4.16 million in base salary in 2020. It's a situation that bears watching as this week's draft approaches.

Even after signing Jordan Howard, the Miami Dolphins should try to keep Fournette in the Sunshine state.
Miami has three picks in the first round, No. 5, No. 18, and No. 26, in addition to two second-round picks. Sending the latter of their three first-rounders to Jacksonville straight up might be enough to pry Fournette away from the Jaguars.
Jacksonville would get a premium pick in this deal, while Miami adds a powerful back with the explosion to pop off some big runs. Whomever the Dolphins start at quarterback next season will be happy to have a running back of his caliber in the backfield.
Leonard Fournette has been a solid RB up to this point in his career.

He is:
-The 10th RB all-time to produce 1100+ rush yards and 75+ rec within their first three seasons in the league.
-Already has two RB1 seasons to his name.

Jacksonville appears to be following the Miami template, as they are selling off all their best players for more draft picks. The Dolphins, however, appear ready to turn the corner, and trading Fournette could help their running game finally get back to respectability.
