This Graphic Reveals the Most Hated MLB Team by State This Season
By Jared Kish
The New York Yankees have a rich history of winning and signing the best players around, which has led to fans of other teams often showing their disapprobation for the Bronx Bombers.
According to this graphic, it appears the Yankees are the most hated team in baseball this season. However, they've also got plenty of company:
It makes sense that the Yankees are hated in the New England states. With most people being Boston fans up there and the history those two teams share together, its a no brainer why people in that demographic hate the team from the Bronx.
Another thing that stands out about this graphic is the Yankees are hated in Minnesota and North Dakota. It could be that the Yankees beat the Twins in the 2009 Division Series as well as the 2017 Wild Card game and the Minnesota faithful are still salty about that.
The Yanks dominate the country by being the most hated team in 28 states followed by the Cubs with eight states and the Dodgers with five. These three teams have the biggest fan bases in the world and their fans are all over the globe.
Due to the overwhelming success of the Yankees, they will always find themselves leading the pack as the most hated team in the MLB.
