The New England Patriots remain the team to beat in the NFL, and they'll raise their sixth Super Bowl banner in less than two decades ahead of their 2019 season opener with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

It's been an outstanding run for the Pats, and oddly enough, the Pittsburgh Steelers -- who were the model franchise before Bill Belichick's Patriots -- will have to attend another banner ceremony in Foxborough. This will be the third time they've had to be first-hand witnesses to the Pats' ceremony, which is more than the two banner ceremonies they've hosted since 1980.

Ouch. You think Patriots fans will use this tidbit against Steeler fans?

Football fans don't feel all that bad for Pittsburgh, as they won four Super Bowl titles from 1975-1980, which they won't let you forget about. Yes, we know the Steel Curtain was pretty dominant.

On top of the banner ceremony at Gillette Stadium, the Patriots will also boast a Super Bowl LIII patch on their jerseys on Sunday night which features six stars along the bottom-- one for each ring.

Steelers fans tuning in on Sunday night may not want to flip the game on right at the start, unless they want to witness the Patriots' newest banner making its way to the rafters... again.
