The Kansas City Chiefs don't have many holes to fill on the roster. The key now is adding depth to a team already favored to repeat as Super Bowl champions.

Kansas City already had a good draft class, headlined by LSU running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire, and the team continued adding top talent by signing a nice class of undrafted free agents as well. The top player in that bunch is Auburn's Javaris Davis.

The defensive back is listed at 5-8, but he did run a 4.39 40-yard dash at the combine. He had two interceptions in each of his four seasons at Auburn, and had 43 total tackles in 2019. Davis joins a crowded position group in Kansas City, as the team currently has 11 corners on the roster.

Davis is a great fit with the Chiefs because of his speed and his experience. He may lack size, but he stands out as a potential special teams star because of that 4.39 speed. The corner also spent his college career at Auburn and has more big-game experience than the two corners the Chiefs drafted. Fourth-round pick L'Jarius Sneed went to Louisiana Tech, and seventh-round pick Thakarius Keyes went to Tulane.

The only Chiefs corner earning over $1 million in 2020 is Bashaud Breeland, and it is possible the team cuts him amid all his legal troubles. That creates an open competition at the position, and Davis' experience at Auburn should have him ready to win a job. The Chiefs are great at adding the fastest players out there, and Andy Reid should be able to find a way to work Davis into the gameplan, whether he is a gunner on special teams or a regular on defense.
