The Philadelphia Eagles had one of the most talked-about offseasons in the entire NFL. The team added studs on the defensive side of the ball in cornerback Darius Slay and nose tackle Javon Hargrave. Not to mention, they added a plethora of talent in the NFL Draft. Yet, we can't forget that the Eagles also supplemented their corps by adding a ton of undrafted free agents, just like every other team in the league.

Making it in the NFL as an undrafted rookie is difficult, but far from impossible. Out of all their signings, former quarterback Khalil Tate has the best chance to make Philadelphia's 53-man roster.

Look, we know that the Eagles are built around starting signal caller Carson Wentz. There's simply no denying that. But we can't gloss over the fact that he's shown to have the inability to stay healthy for an entire season. Why do you think general manager Howie Roseman opted to take Oklahoma quarterback Jalen Hurts in the second round of the draft? The more people who could potentially fill in under center, the better.

But there's a reason it says above that Philly signed the "WR" version of Tate. While he was initially hyped up as a future NFL quarterback during his early years playing for the Arizona Wildcats, Tate fell off a cliff his senior season, where he threw for just 1,954 yards, 14 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.

There was no better landing spot for Tate to land than in Philadelphia. Head coach Doug Pederson is a quarterback whisperer, in more ways than one. He became the first NFL coach to get the most out of former Houston QB Greg Ward Jr. at wideout last year, getting 254 unexpected yards in huge end-of-year games out of the 24-year-old. Why would Tate's situation be any different?

He's a bonafide athlete. In his four years at Arizona, Tate rushed for 2,285 yards and 18 touchdowns on 366 carries. That alone should give Pederson enough reason to line him up at running back and wide receiver, both positions that are relatively weak in depth.

You may scoff at this notion, but Khalil Tate will absolutely make the Eagles' 53-man roster for the upcoming season.
