ESPN's "The Last Dance" documentary focused some time this past weekend on Michael Jordan's baseball career, giving baseball Twitter plenty of rekindled memories of Jordan playing America’s Pastime. During his hiatus from the NBA, he fulfilled his and his father’s dream of playing professional baseball. He was thrown right into the Double-A level, a massive challenge for someone who hadn't played the game in about 15 years.

After making his bones in with the Birmingham Barons, Jordan spent some time in the Arizona Fall League. During his time there as a member of the Scottsdale Scorpions, he got the chance to play with a young rising star who was on his way to becoming a household name: Nomar Garciaparra.

Nomahhh? Is that you?

This old photo of two bright stars who couldn't have been at more different points in their careers is just spectacular. Garciaparra stands at a solid six feet tall, but even he looks tiny in stature compared to MJ.

Once the two were spotted together in these old photos, some fans had to reconcile a few things in their minds.

So, how did these two pro baseball neophytes end up? They did okay, honestly! Jordan returned to basketball and had a second three-peat with his Bulls, and Garciaparra was named Rookie of the Year once he got to the MLB, became an All-Star and led the AL in batting multiple times.

We'll leave it up to your imagination as to whether MJ treated Nomar behind closed doors like some of his Chicago teammates.
