With Sam Presti selling off every basketball-related asset the Oklahoma City Thunder have at the moment, Aubrey McClendon's estate is trying to sell almost a quarter of the entire team on the business end of affairs.

The late energy mogul, who passed away in 2016, owned a 22% of the team. His estate has held the share since his death; making the exact week of this Thunder fire sale an odd time to try and sell your stake in the team.

While the Thunder are valued around $1.5 billion by multiple financial outlets, they have the second-highest local TV rating in the league, and have the NBA's third-longest home sellout streak, which shows that the team isn't exactly a depreciating asset.

Anyone have a giant pile of cash lying around and want to buy part of a basketball team?

Even if the Thunder had a long line of buyers ready to snag this 22% stake, you had better come prepared with a first-round pick and two years of pick swaps before OKC consider your offer. That's just how things are these days.
