Ticket Data Suggests Florida Fans Will Have Advantage Over Georgia in Jacksonville
By Mark Powell
2019's edition of the Florida vs Georgia rivalry is about as massive as it's been in recent memory, with both teams residing in the top-10 and with SEC Championship aspirations.
While Bulldogs fans tend to travel better than most (just ask Notre Dame), this week's affair in Jacksonville is actually expected to offer a slight edge to Gators supporters, per vivid seats.
Of course, Georgia fans can dominate the second-hand ticket market and make up for some of that advantage. However, considering the game is literally played in Florida, it's not overwhelmingly surprising that the Gators would expect more than a 50-50 split. In fact, a 40 percent showing could be considered a victory for Georgia.
Injured Florida QB Feleipe Franks has previously stated that Jacksonville feels like a home game to these Gators, especially due to its proximity to Gainesville.
Nonetheless, this game is about as even as it gets between these two sides. Regardless of the crowd size, expect Dan Mullen and Kirby Smart to have their teams ready for battle.
