We can officially add the Toledo Mud Hens to the laundry list of teams Edwin Jackson has toiled for.

After his midseason release by the Blue Jays, Jackson has now hooked on with the Detroit Tigers on a minor-league deal, and will report to Triple-A in the coming days. Unfortunately, he's already been a Tiger, so we don't get to add another big-league affiliation to one of the most ridiculous travelogues in the game.

In five starts and 28.1 innings pitched earlier this season, Jackson sported a robust 11.21 ERA and somehow was worth -1.6 WAR over a very short period of time.

Before this return to Detroit, Jackson peddled his wares for 15 different franchises, nine (counting a return to Motown) since 2015. We applaud Jackson for his ingenuity and veteran guile, and hope he rediscovers at least a bit of his magic for a rebuilding squad this time around.

Though, without an August 31 trade deadline, there isn't much value here, and both parties are sort of just playing out the string.
