Remember during the 2018 MLB season when the Detroit Tigers had to navigate a PR nightmare after broadcasting duo Rod Allen and Mario Impemba were involved in an ugly physical confrontation following a game against the Chicago White Sox?

The two were famously dismissed of their duties, and the Tigers are apparently still trying to disassociate themselves with the scuffle.

Detroit shared a highlight of a home-run saving catch from former outfielder Curtis Granderson on Sunday to satiate the masses during baseball's absence, and the club bizarrely used the clip with Cleveland Indians announcers to "celebrate" the event.

That wasn't necessarily a bad call from the Indians' commentators, but if the goal of the Tigers here was to inject a bit of energy into a fan base that has no baseball, well, they failed.

Cleveland's play-by-play announcer clearly wasn't thrilled with Granderson's incredible robbery. To some extent, all commentators show bias towards the teams they watch over 140 times per season.

We're really going to erase the history of Tigers baseball just because of a personnel change? It still happened!

Detroit refusing to roll with the call of Allen and Impemba proves that the divorce still scars the organization to this day.
