Tigers Employee Suing Chris Bosio Over Racially Insensitive Remark From Time as Pitching Coach
By Brendan Azoff

At the end of June in 2018, Chris Bosio, who was then the pitching coach of the Detroit Tigers, was fired for allegedly using racial slurs, when he called an African-American clubhouse attendant a "monkey".
A newly-released legal report has brought the situation back into the media spotlight, as the clubhouse attendant said that Bosio referred to him as "boy", while also threatening bodily harm on the young employee.

Bosio at the time had said the whole situation was merely a misunderstanding, but after seeing the report from the lawsuit, he could be in more hot water.
After allegedly displaying similar behavior in the past, Bosio was finally dismissed for a potential racial encounter, and it appears that the the former MLB player and coach truly crossed the line in this instance with the attendant.

There is no place in baseball for this bigotry and the Detroit Tigers did the right thing in firing Bosio. Bosio has still not returned to coaching, and after the recent information leaked from the trial, he likely won't be getting a coaching job in the near future.
