Tigers Fans Should Be Pumped About 19-Year-Old Riley Greene's Spring Training Stats

Riley Greene was drafted fifth overall by the Detroit Tigers in the 2019 MLB Draft. He rose up to Class-A by the end of the year, and is in Spring Training with the big league club here in 2020.
Greene is still only 19 years old, but is already showing why it won't be long before he is in a Tigers uniform in the regular season. The star prospect is atop the Grapefruit League in home runs through the first few days of spring ball.
Riley Greene is currently tied for the Grapefruit League lead in home runs (2) and walks (3).

Greene is part of the future in Detroit, and is a reason why fans should still continue watching even during such a tough rebuilding period. The team may want to hold onto those years of control by keeping Greene in the minors, but he may end up being too good to hold back.

The Tigers hit on this pick, and Greene is a crucial building block for the future. The only disappointment surrounding the teenager will be if the team doesn't call him up when the time is right. In the meantime, fans will just have to watch his spring highlights on loop until he finally makes his debut.
