Tigers Select Potential Best Name in Draft in 16th Round
By Sean Facey

Buried in a deluge of 40 rounds worth of names, the Detroit Tigers may have just selected the very best one in this year's draft.
With their 16th round selection, the Tigers nabbed Kona Quiggle, a left fielder from Grand Canyon University.

The 21-year-old Quiggle had a solid junior season with GCU, batting .311 with 12 home runs and 62 runs batted in. The Tigers made him the 472nd overall selection in the draft.
And yes, the Phoenix native has a name that stands out in a sea of thousands of prospects.
He was unfortunately snubbed from MLB Cut4's "All-Name Team" ahead of the draft. Quiggle definitely has a leg up on Vanderbilt product Kiambu Fentress, who has yet to be selected.

The Tigers have always had a knack for finding crazy names. After all, one of the key relievers out of their bullpen is none other than Daniel Stumpf.
Quiggle may not have the pedigree of most other draft picks, but he certainly has a name to remember, and that at least counts for something.
